Water, water, everywhere......
Welcome to the East Grand Lake region where pure, sparkling, blue water is
taken for granted. Please join us to experience the activities that are
available in the four seasons of our area.
Fishing is a popular activity on any of our many waterways. Our lakes feature
landlocked salmon, togue and small mouth bass. Brook trout are abundant
in our streams and brooks. In January, the ice-fishing derby is a
tradition that is enjoyed by many fisherman.
Boating of all kinds is available on our lakes. View nature from a kayak or
canoe on our beautiful rivers. It is here that you can observe bald
eagles, deer, bear, moose, coyotes and other animals in their natural
habitat. Be alert for northern bird species i.e. spruce grouse, boreal
chickadees, black-back woodpeckers, and yellow-bellied flycatchers in
their suitable habitat.
In our abundant forests, small game animals such as ruffed grouse,
woodcock and snowshoe rabbits are available. Our big game animals
consist of moose, deer and bear.
If there are questions, contact the chamber of commerce and we will be
happy to assist you in making your stay in our area memorable and
enjoyable.
